FISA Foundation Conducts Community Needs Assessment

One of FISA Foundation’s core values is to “listen and respond” to the needs of the community, particularly the overlooked needs of women, girls, and people with disabilities. Over the past several months board and staff members have solicited input from numerous stakeholders: grantees, nonprofit and community leaders, and focus groups of women, girls, and people with disabilities. This input has been supplemented by public data about trends in needs and service delivery. In the spirit of partnership and collaboration, this report will be available for download in January.
FISA will use this information about community needs when reexamining grantmaking priorities in Spring 2011. The Foundation expects to release revised grantmaking priorities by Summer 2011.
