Disability Justice: New recordings available on demand

In November 2022, FISA and PeoplesHub, in partnership with The Heinz Endowments and The Pittsburgh Foundation, hosted an important half-day virtual conference to help individuals and organizations advance their understanding of and commitment to Disability Justice.

The conference included a stellar lineup of presenters and activists who are working to dismantle racism and ableism. Nationally known disability justice expert, Dustin Gibson, delivered a fantastic keynote on Understanding Disability as Political in Anti-Ableism Work. The conference also included a funder panel and a discussion among people of color with disabilities about addressing systemic racism and ableism. The conference concluded with a discussion among a group of individuals representing Pittsburgh organizations who participated in a year-long cohort to deepen their accessibility and inclusion practices and to integrate a disability justice framework into their organizing work.
