People of color with disabilities are being left out

The Black Lives Matter movement challenges us all to work against the systemic racism that pervades our culture and institutions. At FISA, we recognize that our disability-focused work has not benefitted communities of color as much as it should. We believe we should more intentionally address the intersection of ableism and racism, and are seeking to be more inclusive of people of color with disabilities.
We recently invited our grantees and partners to think and talk about this with us.    This is a 15 minute video featuring people of color from our local disability community talking about their experiences. We hope this video can help you start conversations in your own agencies and networks.
