FISA Awards June 2025 Grants to Uplift Women, Girls, and People with Disabilities

In an uncertain landscape, FISA grantee partners remain committed to meeting the needs of communities in southwestern Pennsylvania. Their advocacy and empowerment continue to improve the lives of women, girls, and people with disabilities in the region.

“We are so proud of all the ways our grantees and partners have stepped forward to meet the needs of some of our most vulnerable neighbors,” remarked Kristy Trautmann, Executive Director of FISA Foundation. “They are advocating for accessible public transportation, speaking out at public hearings and meetings on public education, answering phones for people in crisis, supporting refugee moms as they give birth and care for their babies in a foreign health care system, and serving as mentors and role models to young women. These organizations play a vital role in our community.”

This is the full list of June 2025 grantees:

  • $50,000 to Women and Girls Foundation to support and expand GirlGov, a civic engagement and social justice advocacy program for middle and high school self-identified girls.
