An Update on the Father’s Day Pledge to End Gender Violence

Three years ago, FISA Foundation partnered with the Heinz Endowments and PA Coalition Against Domestic Violence to bring the Father’s Day Pledge to End Gender Violence to Pittsburgh.
Men are invited to take an active role in addressing and preventing domestic and sexual violence by signing a Pledge to take action in several simple ways.  Over 1,300 southwestern Pennsylvanians have signed the pledge online. Add your signature here.
Corporate and civic leaders joined elected officials and supporters in the Allegheny County Courthouse Courtyard for the second annual Father’s Day Pledge to End Gender Violence Day on Friday, June 17.
“It is a majority of people who believe in respect, equity and nonviolent relationships,” said Kristy Trautmann, executive director, FISA Foundation, “and seeing how many of us are willing to publicly commit to these values helps us to be bold.”
The Father’s Day Pledge is now a signature effort of Southwest PA Says No More.  More information about the event can be found here.
